What your dog learns

Your trainer works with your dog around multiple distractions in different environments, helping connect those commands to everyday life. Training is tailored to your dog’s starting point and goals.
Daily care, training & owner handoff
Your dog stays at our facility throughout the two-week program. Our military veteran dog trainers provide daily care and hands-on training, including some in-home work. You receive daily updates from your trainer with a photo or video of your dog in training, plus a before-and-after training video. Upon completion, you receive a 2–3 hour one-on-one session covering your dog’s behavior, handling, commands, and how to continue the work at home. Two in-home follow-up sessions are included after your dog completes the program. We work with you in your own home to transfer the skills your dog has learned into everyday routines and help you confidently continue the training. Your questions, answered.
How long is Board & Train?
The program is two weeks long. Your dog stays at our facility and trains with our military veteran dog trainers, with some in-home training work included.
Who houses and trains my dog?
Your dog is housed at our facility. Our military veteran dog trainers provide daily care and training throughout the two-week program, including some in-home work.
Is Board & Train the same as dog boarding?
No. Board & Train is a dedicated two-week training program based at our facility, with some in-home work. Regular dog boarding is a cabin stay in Augusta for daily care while you are away.
Do you offer dog boot camp?
People sometimes use dog boot camp or residential dog training to describe Board & Train. Our two-week program is based at our facility, includes some in-home work, and includes owner instruction so you can continue the training.
Will I learn how to maintain the training?
Yes. Your program includes a 2–3 hour one-on-one owner handoff, plus two in-home follow-up sessions after completion. These visits help you put your dog’s new skills into practice in your home and build consistent everyday routines.
Can families outside Wichita enroll?
Regional placements are considered within roughly 100 miles, depending on the dog, program, trainer availability, and schedule. Call with your location to confirm.
